This micro e-qualification offers an ideal opportunity for educators, whether they are school teachers or academics in higher education institutions, to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to apply AI technologies in teaching, assessment, scientific research, and innovation. It employs a Competency-Based Education approach, focusing on building specific competencies in these micro-courses. Enrolled participants/trainees must master these competencies and provide practical evidence demonstrating their ability to successfully apply them, which qualifies them to obtain the certified micro-credential.

Micro-course 1: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence in Education


This course aims to introduce participants to fundamental concepts such as machine learning, neural networks, and deep learning, in addition to explaining the principles of traditional and generative artificial intelligence. Through this unit, participants will learn how to employ AI in designing interactive multimedia used in education, such as digital and interactive learning materials, thereby enhancing the student learning experience.

This course aims to provide a general introductory overview of fundamental concepts in educational assessment, including types of assessment, assessment tools, comprehensive and detailed statistical analysis of assessment tool results, and providing feedback. It explores the uses of artificial intelligence in educational assessment to create learning experiences that align with learners' personalities, formulate educational questions, pose questions and implement interactive formative assessment, as well as the processes of grading and feedback, and analyzing and mining learner assessment data to form comprehensive learner profiles. This course also contributes to gaining practical experience through hands-on application of several AI tools to develop interactive and engaging metrics and tests.
